Sea la Luz at a Glance

Sea la Luz is a non-profit charity whose mission is to provide educational and healthcare access to underserved individuals in developing nations through direct scholarships, medical financial aid, and mentor relationships. We currently support families in Honduras and Nicaragua.

Ways We Help

Sea la Luz means "be the light" in Spanish. Our scholarship and financial aid recipients are a LIGHT in their communities! They model hard work, pursuit of education, and care for the sick. Our donors partner with us to answer Jesus' call to see Him in the most vulnerable: the young, the poor, and the sick.

Educational Scholarships

We provide scholarships to candidates who show financial need, devotion to their studies, and a desire to help their community. We provide these deserving students with financial aid for uniforms, transportation, school supplies, and tuition stipends.

Health Care Financial Aid

Rural Hondurans and Nicaraguans often struggle to access affordable healthcare. We provide individuals with assistance for necessary medical interventions. We evaluate each case individually. Some of the many health care needs we have helped meet include treatment for cancer, prenatal care, epilepsy treatment, antibiotics for infections, and hardware for those with mobility needs (prosthetic/wheelchair, etc).

Because of Sea la Luz,

  •  30 students have stayed in school despite financial distress.

  • 15 teachers have received professional development.

  • Five students have graduated high school.

  • Two students are studying at the university.

  • Numerous individuals have been able to face difficult health situations with peace and support. Can you help us extend our reach?
